Access to appointments

We have a new access system starting on Monday 3rd April 2023.

The reception staff will ask you some questions which have been agreed by the partners and they will direct you to the correct member of staff to help you. This may be the pharmacist, physiotherapist, social prescriber or another member of our team.

The practice no longer has the telephone triage list each day. You will be treated the same way no matter which time of day you call us, therefore patients do not have to call at 8.00 am to secure a same day appointment.

If you do need to see a doctor or nurse practitioner, you will be given the choice of a face- to -face appointment or a telephone call. Some appointments will be available to pre book up to two weeks in advance.

Once we have reached our capacity for the day and there is a clinical need for a doctor the reception team will message our duty doctor. This may result in a telephone call from the reception team or a clinician.

If you have a face -to- face appointment and cannot attend, please call the usual surgery number and select option 2 to cancel.
