Morning Surgery – Open Access

  • The Practice provides an Open Access surgery every weekday morning between 8-10am. This is for acute problems and an appointment is not necessary
  • If Open Access is busy you should be prepared to wait to see as patients are seen in order of arrival
  • If another patient appears to have been seen before you they will be seeing a different medical professional; this may be our Senior Nurse or Practice Pharmacist depending on the nature of your problem.
  • We will always endeavour to ensure that you see the most appropriate healthcare professional in order to reduce your waiting time.
  • Please note that in the Open Access surgery the doctors cannot complete claim forms or perform non-NHS medicals. You will need to book an appointment for this

Afternoon Surgery – Pre-booked Appointments

  • ALL doctor & ALL nurse appointments: Monday-Friday 3pm-5.30pm
  • If you wish to make a routine appointment with the Doctor or Nurse, please speak to our Receptionists or telephone us on 01274 637031 between 8-9am any weekday morning or after 1pm any weekday afternoon. If you feel you need to be seen urgently please let the receptionist know so that a doctor or nurse can speak to you as soon as possible. We advise patients to see the same doctor for the same condition wherever possible.

Routine appointments can usually be booked 4 weeks in advance and we will always endeavour to ensure that you see the doctor of your choice. However if a doctor is on annual leave surgeries may change and you may be asked to see an alternative doctor or a locum GP.

Please do not telephone between 9-11.30am to book a routine appointment as this prevents more urgent call from reaching us.

    Late arrivals

  • If you are late for your appointment, you will only be seen at the discretion of the doctor or nurse you are booked in with as this can seriously impact on waiting times for other patients with pre-booked appointments.
